Your Eating Disorder Does Not Deserve Another Day Of Your Life...

Before your eating disorder gets too loud today, I just want to remind you of something. Your life was never supposed to become this consumed by fear, guilt and exhaustion. You were never supposed to spend mornings calculating calories before your feet even touches the floor. You were never supposed to hate yourself this much.

Eating disorders slowly convince people that surviving is the same thing as living, but it isn't.

There is a whole version of life outside of constantly thinking about food, your body and punishment. A life where meals are just meals, where memories matter more than calories, where your mind finally feels quiet again and I know recovery can feel terrifying sometimes.

I know part of you probably still believes your eating disorder is protecting you but your eating disorder doesn't deserve another day of your life. Not another memory, not another morning ruined by anxiety, not another year spent at war with yourself. You deserve to wake up and think about your life instead of your weight, you deserve happiness that is not controlled by food.

Please be gentle with yourself today, even if recovery feels hard, even if your eating disorder is loud this morning.

With Love, Niomi 🤎
